It was the new benchmark in Astara technology, but it would also represent their imminent doom. A new technology that created a portal connecting other dimensions, also created a link to an evil world known as the ShadowRealm - filled with menance and evil.

Soon the Dark Yabu and his demonic creatures flooded the world of Astara, enslaving its people. Among its villagers included the town's guardian Vargas and his grandson Vexx. One day, rage overcame him and he rebelled against his captors, in an attempt to escape. He would have succeeded, had the Dark Yabu not been near. Vexx would have surely died that day, but was saved by his Vargas who became the receipient of Yabu's rage, striking him down before Vexx's very eyes.

Filled with the horror he witnessed, Vexx escaped under the cover of darkness - hoping to discover a way to strike back. It was then, that he discoveed the ancient Astani War Talons. Legendary weapons of power that awakened in his presence. Seeking a new master, the Talons fused to Vexx's hands, granting him the power to confront the Shadowwraith and conclude the "Great War" that began many years ago.

If you can do the fast SQUARE, SQUARE, SQUARE attack, you can reduce its pace to send enemies into the air with SQUARE at the end of the combo. This builds the super move meter quickly so you can use the R1 button to unleash it sooner!
