There's a mace that can be bought from the blacksmith that he sells for 2800-3200 gold (depending on your level of trade) that will be put in his shop sometime after you beat the first four levels. It's easiest to buy a lot of them and then sell them for 3700-3900 (depending on your level of trade). Keep going at it and you'll be rich easily. Trade skill has to be very high for this to work.
